#Good evening startrackers. After this morning’s panic De Name Escapes Me has been declared at the five day stage for the Coral.ie Hurdle on Sunday at Leopardstown and we may yet get a run for our money, just like to see its price contract! Fine Rightly has been declared for the Coral.ie Chase and is a strong 8/1 shot (we took 10/1). Love to see Davy Russell get the ride.
It would seem that the floods have now stopped and the frosts have started!! Let’s hope we can get racing on at Warwick and Naas Saturday and Leopardstown Sunday as they have cracking cards with some quality horses. My Northern friends seem hopeful for Catterick, Sedgefield and Wetherby!
A PLEIN TEMPS Weds 13 Jan 16 1:10 (Overnight) at Taunton, Somerset Chamber of Commerce Maiden Hurdle
A PLEIN TEMPS (Harry Fry) Dec. 17th ran in the Taunton 3.20 coming 2nd. Put up as a two star selection at 11/4, he was returned 13/8 favourite. Right price, wrong result. For this 2m 7f C4 novice hurdle they went a steady pace in the heavy ground. The selection was always prominent on the inside but at times looked a little green running about a bit and he really guessed at one in the back straight but turning for home there were four in it and he had every chance but just didn’t see it out as well as the winner. Definite work in progress as a 3m chaser and still some growing up to do. He will improve for the run and better ground may help. He goes in the tracker. Could finish up with the whole of Harry Fry’s yard in the tracker come season end!!
Returns to the same course and distance and every chance of going one better. Harry Fry stable under a cloud having pulled two out on Saturday with “dirty scopes”, this is his only runner Wednesday. We’ll trust young Harry with Noel Fehily on board and go with a two star** selection at the generous 7/2 Ladbrokes are currently offering.
I’ll deal with these on a day to day basis.

Willie Mullins is looking to run Limini in the UK on her reappearance before a possible tilt at the new mares’ race at the Cheltenham Festival. Limini heads the ante-post market at 4-1 for the Grade Two Trull House Stud Mares’ Novice Hurdle, despite having had just the one run for Mullins and owner Rich Ricci. That came at Punchestown in May when the French import justified 5-4 favouritism in a 23-runner maiden hurdle in smooth fashion. “She’s ready to come out,” Mullins told Racing UK. “There is a mares’ hurdle in England for her coming up and we have her pencilled in for that. Her form looks good and I think she has improved a good bit in her jumping. She just hadn’t come right all season, but I think she has come right now.” IrishRacing.com Tue 12th Jan 2016, 09:53
Taking On A Willie Mullins Hot-Pot Willie Mullins has got the ante-post favourites for at least 10 of the races at the Cheltenham Festival and, in my very humble opinion, has that much equine talent at his disposal that he’s in danger of spoiling the Cheltenham Festival as a betting medium – unless you just love lumping your hard-earned on short-priced favourites such as Min, Douvan, Faugheen, Annie Power, Vautour and Un De Sceaux. Last year quite a few bookmakers, definitely PP, gave you money back as a free bet if your horse was 2nd or 3rd to the favourite in the first race on the card. So if you fancy opposing Min, Shaneshill, Bellshill or Ivanovich Gorbatov (current favourites) hold on until the day!!
